Browsing Principals

The Principals page lists every identity Troposphere has imported across your connections and lets you drill into any one of them.

The Principals list#

Navigate to Identity & Access > Principals in the sidebar. Three summary cards across the top show the Total, Active, and Inactive principal counts. Below them is a filterable, paginated table with one row per principal.

Filter the list by:

• Type – User, Group, Service Account, or Federated Identity.
• Status – Active, Disabled, or Deleted.

Use the search field to narrow by name.

Principal detail page#

Click any principal’s name on the table to open its detail page. The page shows:

• Summary cards – the principal’s number of role assignments, current status, and type.
• Details – the principal’s name, email (where available), and directory identifier.
• Role Assignments – every role assignment the principal holds, showing the role name, scope (subscription / resource group / resource), and the connection the assignment came from.

Use this page when you need to answer questions like “What can this service account access?” or “Which subscriptions is this user an Owner on?”.
